The Museum of Nevis History occupies a Georgian-_style_ building at the site where American statesman Alexander Hamilton was born in 1757 (the original home was toppled by an earthquake in the mid-1800s). This pleasant little museum has period photos with interpretive captions and other bits and pieces of Nevis culture and history.
The Nevis Historical and Conservation Society, custodians of this museum, also run the excellent Horatio Nelson Museum just south of Charlestown. It is home to the largest collection of the Admiral's treasures in the Americas and well worth a visit.
